A pretty little lidded pot or box or container for little things.

Wedgwood Jasperware with white applied grapes and vines patterns to the matt black ceramic.

A fine heavy ceramic/clay/porcelain.

Stamped to the base with the maker’s mark and the decorators’ marks.

Vintage – 70s/80s probably.

8cm wide max, 7.5cm without the decor.

6cm tall with the lid pull.

Carstens Tönnieshof Ankara 1002/1 bowl dish. Black & white + teal. West German

A lovely large shallow bowl by Carstens Tönnieshof, West Germany.

Circa 1960s to 1970s fat lava mid century era.

It’s in the fabulous Ankara decor and is in the harder to find black and white colour way (with stunning contrasting smooth teal coloured base).

Model number 1002/1 – a large ornamental shallow dish or platter.

Matt grey/black with glossy white geometric over-glaze.

The white bubbled pattern has been formed with a wax-type resist stencil/template.

The Ankara design was by Scholtis.

5.5cm tall x 29.5cm wide – a perfect centrepiece statement for a mid-century dining room.

It’s in very good vintage condition with no cracks.

It has a small flake of missing glaze to the lower rim. A scratch underneath.

A browner muddier patch to the glaze near the centre.

Hornsea Muramic Lancaster Vitramic ceramic pottery pin dish, 3.5" olive/yellow

A smaller vintage Hornsea (England) Muramic pin dish…

Designed by John Clappison, these were produced in the late 1970s – from the Lancaster Vitramic range from Hornsea.

The dish is a glossy olive green inside, with mustard yellow, and black and white, over Hornsea’s Muramic brown fine clay/pottery. Hand painted in rings of colour which have had a stick pulled through to give the pulled linear star effect. Stamped to the reverse with a gold logo which reads: “Muramic, Lancaster Vitramic, Hornsea England”. Matt dark brown base with a glossy white rim. Multi-use – these could be used for keys, coins, jewellery, pins, buttons, paperclips, etc – or perfect just for show.

The dish is just over 3″ wide, 8.5cm wide x 2cm tall.

Very good vintage condition.

A lovely Anglia Pottery which I have just chipped the ear of and am gutted.

He’s a tall slim elegant siamese type cat, seated and simplified.

Circa 1970s retro.

Moulded ceramic glazed in a blue green colour.

Scribed to the base with model number AP179.

17cm tall.

One ear chip otherwise excellent.

1039-18 West German Pottery vintage vase, 1950s 1960s black stripe footed, retro

A lovely 1950s/1960s mid century West German Pottery art vase.

Unknown maker but looks to be model number 1039/18.

Satin solid black with three freehand spiralling lines in white, pastel yellow and pastel blue.

The lines are bubbly and beautifully wonky.

18cm tall footed flared ceramic vase.

12cm wide rim.

Impressed model number to base.

Very good for age and era.

As with all of these old ceramic vases it is probably best for display than use.

I’ll put it in a medium parcel.

Scheurich vase 552-8 blue ceramic pottery, vintage West German small pot, 1970s

A lovely small vintage West German Pottery vase or pot by Scheurich Keramik.

Deep glossy blue glazed with original paper sticker.

Circa 1960s to 1970s vintage.

Form no 552-8 – 8 being the 8cm tall.

Good.

It’s previously had a couple of subtle marks disguised so you can just make out some areas of different glaze/colour to the right and rear.

A hard to see baseline chip underneath.

Displays well though. Nice little thing.

8cm tall x 5cm outer rim x 7cm widest.

An unusual Prinknash Pottery low shallow lidded pot/box.

Circa 1970s vintage.

It’s cog or wheel like with ridges and lines to the design.

The ceramic is glossy glazed a brown tone with a hint of khaki green.

4.5cm tall with lid on and 10.5cm wide.

Good for age.

Some marks to the lid, shown, along with some very slight crazing.

One tiny internal rim nibble.

Rye Pottery David Sharp small vase. 1950s vintage blue flower pot beaker. Studio

A vintage handmade vase or pot or beaker, by Rye Pottery, Sussex.

This is an unusual floral/foliage decor and is a mid century 1950s to 1960s original.

The stamp dates it from 1957 to 1969.

And the D stamp makes it by David Sharp.

The lighter clay would suggest it’s probably around 1960.

Wheel thrown and glazed, the small vase has an off-white glaze with blue foliage decor, repeated three times, and a blue rim – a bit more traditional. Stamped to the base.

Very good condition, as manufactured/hand made with natural glazing quirks.

A petite 8cm tall x 7cm at rim.

Great for a collection, please note it’s small so suited for buttercups, daisies etc if used.

A vintage pottery curled up money or bear savings bank/money box, by Goebel, West Germany.

The cute creature is laying on his back with head and feet up.

Brown glossy glazes.

Circa 1970s mid century, retro/kitsch style.

13cm long x 9cm tall x 9cm deep.

Very good condition.

In use and on display it looks great with no visible crazing that I can see.

Please see all pics – a few tiny signs of age.

Money slot to his feet and original metal locked stopper to the base.

Empty.

A lovely vintage (1960s/1970s mid century) art pottery small vase.

It has a blue/white foamy speckled glossy outer.

And a bright glossy red inner.

No noticeable maker’s marks – likely West German or Vallauris, France.

Small at 4″ tall x 7cm wide rim, hourglass straight sided shape.

A stoneware type clay.

Good used condition.

No cracks but a couple of teeny rim imperfections.
