We have what looks to be a handmade wood sampler – a bird carving showing 7 different types of wood.

The bird has 5 blonder hardwoods, he’s beautifully simplified and modernist.

The base has 2 darker woods.

Likely British and late 20th century – 70s/80s or so.

Unsigned.

18cm tall x 12cm wide x 5cm deep.

Good but has some dirt/wear to the top so would benefit from a re-oil or sand down.

A beautiful simple modernist shape.

A super Myers vintage filing system – ideal for magazines, books, paperwork or LPs.

Circa 1970s vintage in a space age/mod design.

The Superack 99 has two removable and adjustable dividers per segment.

We have 4 segments here, so 4 bases with 8 sub-divides.

All red hard plastic.

Overall (the 4 pieces all connected with divides) measures 37cm long x 29cm tall x 27cm deep.

But they can be separated. Each piece is 9cm wide.

A versatile system for a retro home.

Very good, some marks and some engrained blu-tac.

Will come flat packed and all separated.

MG Denmark stainless steel cigarette box case, Danish modernist slim vintage 60s

A lovely simple slimline stainless steel lidded ‘cigarette’ box – for jewellery or trinkets or money.

Made by MG Denmark and circa 1960s mid century vintage.

Stamped on the inner lid.

Modernist, mid-century slick Scandi design.

Wooden (reddy wood) inner and base (with steel wrapped around) – see photos.

Full length hinge – works well and holds it open.

Quality stainless steel 18/8.

Good condition – a nice quality item.

Some marks to the steel being vintage.

Clean inside.

A very slight bend to one corner of the lid.

19.5 x 10.5 x 2cm.

Ikea Stockholm candelabra candle holder steel metal centrepiece, Hagberg vintage

A large modernist-style statement candelabra by Ikea, Sweden.

It was designed by Marianne and Knut Hagberg in the 1990s and sold for a few years up to the early 2000s.

The recognised design is now classed as ‘vintage’ and is a desirable centrepiece, in-keeping with any mid century or modernist styled interior.

It’s brushed silvery steel and is very big and heavy – 33cm x 33cm and 2.2kg.

There’s eight curved arms for eight tapered dinner candles.

The base has its old protective foam.

Good condition.

Some small signs of use around the cups and foot.

A super Robert Welch Arden tall modern candlestick.

A curvy modernist design with narrow middle, bottom heavy.

Stainless steel 18/10 quality mirror polished surface.

Rubber base with logo.

Designed for standard tapered dinner candle.

A tall version – 29.5cm tall.

Unused but has some small surface marks.

Handmade vintage copper bowl, mid century modernist atomic tripod ornament dish

A mid century ornamental handmade bowl.

It was probably a student piece from the 1960s – made in an atomic space age style with three pointy legs.

The scoop bowl has two contrasting surfaces – polished and hammered with a linear pattern.

Could be used for serving snacks etc.

9cm tallest x 15cm long x 11cm wide.

Good.

Will polish up better or dull down.

Handmade, so you can see workmanship.

Danish Orth Ira olive khaki green vintage clothes coat hanger, 1970s 1980 retro

A vintage olive green plastic hanger, made in Denmark.

Made by Ira A/S, Copenhagen, and design no 6227.

It's circa 1970s to 1980s retro.

Stylish sturdy retro design with trouser hanging rail and the two slots for fine straps.

Ira A/S was a mid-20th-century Danish manufacturing and plastics company based in Copenhagen. They are best known for producing durable kitchenware, tins, plastic household items, and canisters. Their household hard plastics are brightly coloured, with retro rubbish bins, soap dishes and wastepaper baskets, etc. These hangers are hard to find.


Very good for age.

Adult size - 40cm or 16 inches wide by 18.5cm tall.

Emalox Norway vintage blue anodised aluminium mid-century retro bowl, 14cm dish

A nice little round Norwegian vintage bowl, by Emalox, Norway.

Blue anodised coating over bright silver aluminium, showing the silver rim.

Circa 1960s 1970s mid century era.

A 14cm wide version of the design x 3cm tall.

Mid blue with silver trim.

Sticker to base.

Good.

On close inspection it has fine small surface marks inside and a scratch outside.

A Scandinavian Danish style Spiral candle holder.

Vintage – likely 1970s to 1980s.

Holds 6 slimmer Scandi tapered candles.

Unknown make.

Nice rustic finish with natural patina and age to the black metal.

Table top protectors to the 6 legs.

24.5 x 19cm -inner candle holders are 1.4cm widest.

Good used.

A stylised scaredy cat figure…

I think it’s resin composition, designed to look like carved dark wood or a bronze.

Probably 1990s, unknown origin and make.

Post modernist minimal or Deco style.

18cm tall (7 inches) x 11 x 7.5cm.

Good with a few tiny marks, see pics.

Good on display – makes a nice simple sculpture for a mantelpiece.
