Vintage 3 glass trinket display boxes set, brass framed. Box in a box in a box!

A set of three nesting small rectangular boxes – they sit inside each other, box in a box in a box.

Clear glass panels with brass metal trims/edges. Hinged.

Of some vintage but I’m unsure of the origin.

Largest is 7.5cm x 5.6cm x 3.8cm – the others sit inside it.

Very good with no chips to the glass.

Some tarnishing and dullness to the brass/metal trim.

A Black + Blum Loop candlestick in shiny chrome.

To hold two standard tapered dinner candles.

Contemporary, stylish, sculptural, shiny silvery metal.

27cm tall x 20cm x 13cm.

Openings are 2.2cm.

Stamped to the side with the logo.

Very good used condition with good shine.

On very close inspection there is some fine pitting in some lower places.

Elizabeth Arden Japanese jewellery/trinket box, burgundy & white lacquered

A super Elizabeth Arden rectangular trinket or jewellery box.

Made at in Japan and in an Art Nouveau style.

Circa 1980s vintage.

The lid features a stylised woman with long flowing hair, a butterfly and flowers.

It’s burgundy or deep plum red with off-white.

The container looks to be a lightweight wood that has been lacquered all over, Japanese style.

I don’t think it’s plastic or metal.

15 x 9 x 5.5cm.

A vintage mid-century modernist classic design.

This a contemporary version of the vintage pierced classic design.

Lightly scalloped rim.

With sticker to one side.

Made in Italy.

Inox 18/10 high quality shiny reflective stainless steel.

Round 21.5cm diameter x 5cm tall.

Good condition, a few small marks.

Centrally there’s ring marks.

Vintage large 8" carved wooden Swedish Dala horse figure. White green G Olsson

A 20cm tall large Dalecarlian horse or Dala horse.

It’s a traditional carved, painted wooden statue of a horse originating in the Swedish province of Dalarna (Dalecarlia).

Today the red painted wooden Dala horse is essentially a folk symbol of the country of Sweden itself and a gift idea.

This vintage example is circa 1970s-1990s.

It’s likely by Grannas (Anders Olsson), the older brother of Nils and Jannes Olsson.

Made in Sweden, hand carved from carefully selected pine, hand painted.

Every Dalahorse is unique – the manufacturers can identify the carver and the painter.

Good used condition, please see photos.

Lots of wear from being loved and cleaned.

20 x 17.5 x 6cm.

Stainless steel modernist oil lamp base & snuffer lid. Retro 1960s style candle

A modernist style candle – an oil burner vessel.

It’s round and brushed stainless steel with a conical lid snuffer which is joined by a steel chain.

It has a removable brass cord/wick holder – so will need a cord and oil to use it.

Nice stylish round shape.

Vintage – maybe 1970s-1980s. Some age to it.

12cm wide x 9.5cm tallest with loop to top of lid.

Good.

No maker’s marks.

Set 3 Morpho blue butterfly wing ornamental ashtrays, pin dishes. Gold aluminium

A set of three stacking ladies’ fancy ashtrays from the 1930s to 1950s era.

Likely made in Brazil and likely using the famous Morpho blue butterflies.

The round small dishes seem to have a concave glass coating over the neatly arranged wings, and are surrounded by gold coloured aluminium surrounds, each with 3 cigarette slots.

They’re lightweight and each is different but from the same set.

The colours vary from bright blue iridescent to a lighter golden beige, with some mauves.

Please see all photos showing the different neat arrangements.

They look more iridescent at different angles.

Being aluminium, the frames are susceptible to marks and little dinks and have a few small signs of age.

Very good, each is 9 x 2cm.

A pewter (tin) cast metal single stem rose by the English Pewter Company.

Ideal for a 10th wedding anniversary – an everlasting rose.

6 inches long.

Being pewter, a soft metal, it’s slightly posable.

Sculptural – will go in a vase.

A lovely retro little Philips bedside or desktop clock.

1980s vintage and from West Germany.

Model number HR5872.

Bright yellow with blue trim – very retro vibes.

Flat front, arced shape, hard plastic.

Takes an AAA battery – works very well.

The alarm is out so if you set it for 2 it sounds at 4 – so I wouldn’t trust it to wake you up!

Very good used condition.

6.3cm x 6cm x 2.5cm

Great 80s retro vibes! Perfect as a prop or for TV.

Paua shell Ariki New Zealand kitsch long neck cat, resin lucite. Vintage retro

A lovely resin/lucite seated cat figurine.

He’s made by Ariki in New Zealand and uses a layer genuine paua shells within the resin.

The shells are a blue/green and sparkly/iridescent, over a black background.

He has applied orange eyes.

He’s a 1950s kitsch tall cat style, but likely 1980s vintage.

16.5cm tall.
