Description
A pair of retro Hornsea Heirloom jugs – ideal for milk, custard, gravy, sauces, water etc.
Designed by John Clappison in the late 1960s, these are 1970s (one is 1976).
Tan brown with a matte black slightly indented screenprinted design.
Short one is 7.5cm tall x 9.5cm wide.
Tall is 12cm tall x 9.5cm wide.
Simple cylinder shapes.
Short one is excellent.
Tall one has an intern hairline crack which you can hear rather than see.
I’ve tested it for water tightness and it’s still ok but probably best for display rather than use.
No chips or crazing and both display really well.
