Description
A small vintage ‘optic’ round art glass vase/bowl.
It’s Czech/Bohemian and made by Borske Sklo in the 1950s or 1960s.
It’s a salmon pink or peach colour, with a round evenly-spaced optical geometric spiky pattern.
This is a smaller version but a harder to find colour and spiky design.
It’s mould blown with a knobbly design.
Mid-century Modernist and retro in style and era.
As with many of these, the top rim is very fragile and susceptible.
This example is used with a number of rim chips to the flat polished rim.
Feeling the spikes I can find four rougher spike ends, but with the busy optical pattern you can’t see anything.
13cm tall x 14cm wide. Inner rim is 6cm.
