A fabulous mid century tea or coffee set by Schott & Gen from Mainz, West Germany.
Circa 1960s – 1970s vintage.
The 6 glass teacups sit in copper cup holders, with simple brass handles.
All on a matching copper tray (new and in wrapper).
The copper holders have a relief pattern.
The heat-proof glasses (like Pyrex or Bodum) are all stamped with the Schott & Gen Mainz Jenaer Glas logos to the bases.
Designed more for elegant herbal and leaf teas, but just as useable for coffees.
All in excellent condition.
Each cup in a holder is 6cm tall x 8.3cm wide at the rim (they flare outwards). Apx 150ml capacity each. Very good.
Glass is loose within the copper holders.
The cups sit in their clear plastic holders in the box.
Rounded rectangular tray is 34cm x 24cm. Tray is still sealed in its wrapper and unused.
Box is lovely, black and white externally and red inside with clear lid.
A very striking Mid Century tea or coffee set.
