A stunning Czech magenta pink (cranberry) and lime green art glass bowl by Chribska, designed by Josef Hospodka.
Vintage 1950s-1960s.
Solid heavy organic chunk of colourful freeform blown glass ashtray/bowl…. From above it’s square, each corner is lobed.
Corners are flattened for a cigarette (it’s big for an ashtray!)
Clear solid squarish base with flash of lime green. Pink colouring is floating in the middle.
Has a white enamel rim – very typical of this style!
Plat polished base shows some signs of age with a few fleabites.
Internally it has been stacked with another bowl foot within so has movement scratches in four patches, see pics.
13cm wide x 9.5cm tall max.
A heavy solid 1.6kg!
A good used example, great splash of colour, displays well.
