Description
A fabulous 1950s or 1960s abstract art vase by Fratelli Fanciullacci, Italy.
Pottery/ceramic with a matte beige textured base colour with random white glossy lines, overlaid with swirls of ovals (like planets). Signed on base ‘Italy 7237’. Beautiful abstract design. Each piece was hand-painted so it is unique, and any drips, wobbly or splattered bits and flaws are part of the artistic appeal.
Good for the age and era with no cracks.
Good base, signed.
There are 3 small and one larger rim chips.
Please see all photos of it on display from all angles.
A small to mid sized 15cm tall x 8.8cm widest at the middle, tapered or hourglass shape.
Would hold about a dozen flower stems if used as a vase, but probably best for a collection.
A classic bit of Italian retro kitsch!
