A lovely 1970s-style Finnish art glass candle holder by Iittala, designed by Timo Sarpaneva.
Heavy quality moulded/pressed icy textured crystal-content glass with polished smooth upper surface rim.
Taller four ring design, 18cm.
It’s a contemporary version of the design (see iittala website) with the metal insert for safety.
Very good condition.
Visible irregular seams from time of manufacture.
18 x 8.5cm wide at the base – the same size and feel and ring design as the vintage 1970s versions.
The hole is 2.3cm wide – for a standard tapered dinner candle.
Unsigned.
Perfect for a collector, and suitable for both mid-century mantelpiece or contemporary home.
