Nicely made with simplified features and good natural finish.
It’s by sculptor John Mainwaring who has been carving since the 1970s.
It’s signed JM and is probably yew wood.
Lovely minimalist and modernist style.
He is walking and looking ahead with his wings back.
Carved wood – with a nice smooth finish.
8.5cm tall.
Circa 1970s-1990s vintage.
Good condition, with good natural sheen.
A chip/splinter to a front leg so missing the end of his foot.
