Description
An unusual art pottery dish, from San Marino, Italy.
It’s leather backed with black leather.
Circa 1960s vintage.
It features a sgraffito (scratched) stylised illustration of bottles, very much in the mid century Italian style.
Black drawings and colour splashes of red, blue, green glazes.
The background is like grey crayon lines, all glazed over.
Pottery/clay dish in a scooped teardrop spoon shape, see pics.
No maker’s marks, but embossed with ‘made in Italy’ to the leather.
8.5 x 4.5cm wide x 12cm long.
Good condition with no chips.
Some slight crazing lines to the top of the piece.
