Description
A super grey Murano art glass dish. Made in Murano, Italy. Original design attributed to Mandruzzato or Campanella.
It’s square/octagonal from above, with pentagon and triangular shaped cut (faceted) sides, tapering down to a small square (flat polished) base. Each side is skillfully polished flat. There’s 12 cut sides (3 x 4), which reflect the light in an amazing diamond-like way. Flat polished rim with a square opening. It’s grey internally (a rounded well) with a dark grey floating colour (sommerso). The outer glass, the casing, is clear.
I’m guessing it’s a 1960’s version. Hand made/hand finished – a beautifully made quality piece. Looks amazing in the sunshine!
6cm tall x 13cm widest. Around 700g – quite a statement chunk of Venetian glass.
Good displayable condition with no big chips or obvious scratches.
About 3 tiny fleabites and one small corner chip.
Please study all photos, you’ll see it’s very good with no big issues.
Displays very well.
Nice original condition for the age.
