Description
A vintage Traditional Ware bowl or plant pot holder by Poole Pottery.
Looking at the patterns and base marks I think it’s circa 1924-1950.
CS floral pattern, hand signed by the decorator E|F or similar.
Form/shape number 566.
17cm wide, inner rim 14cm. Inner is pale pink.
Complex hand painted flowers and patterns – later versions of the Traditional design are whiter and more sparse.
The painted pattern is repeated four times.
Some areas of missing glaze, like bubbles where the glaze hasn’t taken and slipping to the yellow rim – see example.
Very good with no chips.
Some marks inside from being used.
No crazing.
