Description

A super glossy white art pottery vase by David T Sharp at Rye Pottery, Rye, Sussex.

Handmade, thrown on a wheel, and hand decorated.
A cylinder shape with slight flare top and bottom.
Thick heavy white clay – he left it too thick when fired so there’s a firing crack inside.

Not typical of David’s work or palette….
This is white with a simple stripe top and bottom in a beige tone.
Signed.
Circa 1970s-1980s vintage.

Hand signed to the base.
Very good – all as he made it.
More for display than use, I wouldn’t trust its watertightness.

18cm tall x 8.2cm rim and base.
