Description

A vintage handmade bowl, by Dennis Edward Lucas, from Hastings Pottery. He worked at the pottery from 1956 to 1995, but this is likely to be 1960s or 1970s era. It has the distinctive incised double fish logo to the reverse for Hastings Pottery which was used from 1963 to 1995. Deep red clay base, with glossy blue glazes to the uppers.

Hand thrown round shape, it could be used as a planter for succulents/cacti or as a serving or display bowl. Predominantly duck egg blue, with sky blue and sea blues with oxide black and white glazes. The colours have been moved into chevrons with vertical incised stripes. Glossy white rim. Typical colours and style for vintage Hastings Pottery.

Good useable displayable condition.
It’s had a small rim impact, please see photos 6-9 taken on a macro setting.
Please also see all other pics so you can see the nice overall condition.

6cm tall x 11cm widest max. Internal rim is 9.8cm wide.
Still v good for display, use and for a collection.
