A vintage mid century modern art glass vase…
Very much like a Whitefriars 9094 optic vase, but it’s not the right height or shape.
This is 17cm tall and curves in very slightly, rather than straight sided.
Circa 1950s-1960s vintage.
A lovely rich vibrant sapphire to sky blue colouring.
Polished neat pontil, a softened base and softened rim.
Very nicely made – mouth blown, handmade.
It looks to have 4 ridges inside which create the optic effect.
17cm x 10cm rim x 6.5cm base
Very good with no real signs of age.
No chips, a couple of tiny scratches.
Unknown maker.
