A super ‘scaredy cat’ or kitsch angry cat, made in England and circa 1950s-1960s vintage.
Moulded hollow ceramic form, glazed white, hand painted with coloured circles and grey patterns, with green trim.
He’s stood on a green brick wall and is scared with his mouth open and big angry green eyes.
Mid century Italian style decor.
Unknown maker – just stamped ‘England’ with decorator’s numbers.
Hollow moulded figurine, 18 x 13 x 7cm.
Very good with no chips or cracks.
Very fine age-related crazing if you study it closely.
Good bright colours.
A smudge to the paint on his head.
He’s lovely! Great for display and for a kitsch cat collector.
