FAQ

Postage to the UK

I post every week day… I’m currently only shipping to the UK. I try my best to post within 24 hours, or next working day. Items are posted by Royal Mail’s 2nd Class post. I use Signed For for more expensive items. Heavier items will be also be sent by Royal Mail. I’ll let you know your tracking number if applicable. Please ask if you need something quicker, I can upgrade post. I may not be able to post on a Saturday.

Postage abroad

I’m currently not posting abroad – sorry.

Packaging

I try to re-use packaging when possible. I use large bubble bubble-wrap, plus other pre-used bubble wraps, with strengthening card and sturdy cardboard boxes. I often double box for safety and I re-use old newspapers to fill any gaps. I have been selling on Ebay for 20 years, and Etsy for 9+ and know and trust my packing. I’ve posted thousands of items and not had a breakage for many years. (Please re-use or recycle any packaging!)

Delivery times

I estimate a UK mainland delivery to be 2-5 working days from time of ordering, but please allow over a week at busy times or holidays. The weather, seasonal holidays, illnesses or your locality may effect the delivery times. If you’re worried and have waited more than a reasonable amount of time, please contact me – I’m here to help.

Vintage

Most of my items are vintage (20+ years old), and all are pre-loved, so they may naturally have some wear and tear or bubbles or formation marks which may not be in the description. Please read all the description and check all the photos, as it all helps to describe the condition. I have written everything to the best of my ability, and tried to describe or show any flaws.

My definitions

Perfect condition – no vintage items are perfect, so if I describe something as ‘perfect’ it really is awesome with no signs of age or use.
Excellent condition – very close to perfect but with a very hard to see sign of its age or use.
Very good condition – a very nice superior item, maybe with a few very small signs of age, maybe one fleabite or a small scratch.
Good condition – in nice previously used condition, maybe with fine crazing, a few scratches or a few nibbles or small chips.
Good vintage condition – a few more signs of age and use and maybe a few small chips, crazing or a noticeable scratch.
Used condition / vintage condition – I rarely list these items. They do show many signs of age and use, so please do check the listing.

Fleabite – the tiniest ‘chip’ that is very hard to see with the naked eye.
Nibble – a tiny chip up to 2mm.
Chip – a chip upwards of 2mm long.
