Description
A lovely ‘Moon’ covered sugar bowl or jam pot by Midwinter Pottery…
It’s the Midwinter Stonehenge shape (on a plain base of off-white with random brown speckles/trim which is ‘Creation’) with the glossy Moon design – different horizontal blue bands. The design was by Eve Midwinter and it was launched in 1973, so circa 1970s. Retro, and a design classic in the best colour-way.
Simple straight shape with rounded lid, hardwearing glazed earthenware ceramic with distinctive brown flecks and iron oxide rim. Base stamp is clear, also has impressed marks. It has the plain lid.
8.5cm tall to shoulders, 11cm tall with lid, 10cm round max on the base.
Good condition with some small signs of previous use, no chips, fully functional.
