Description
A pair of vintage handmade small vases or pots, by Dennis Edward Lucas, from Hastings Pottery. He worked at the pottery from 1956 to 1995, but these are likely to be 1960s or 1970s era. They have the distinctive incised double fish logo to the reverses for Hastings Pottery which was used from 1963 to 1995. Deep red clay base, with dark brown glossy glazes to the uppers.
Wheel thrown rounded shapes – there’s a larger one which could be a small planter or vase, and a smaller narrow pot. Glossy brown glaze with beige bubbly frothy vertical stripes to each.
Larger pot – 8.5cm tall x 10cm wide max. Stripes just to the top half. Original sticker to base.
Smaller pot – 7cm x 6cm wide. Like a matchstick or toothpick holder pot.
Both great condition with no chips or nibbles.
