Description
A set of four vintage Midwinter Pottery soup bowls and saucers (aka soup cups and stands), circa 1970s or early 1980s.
They look to be unused.
They are the Midwinter Stonehenge shape in the plain decor which is ‘Creation’.

Off-white with brown/black speckles – the random speckles are iron oxide and are darker around the rims.
Very retro colouring and a design classic – I believe the design is by Eve Midwinter from the early 1970s.
Earthenware type glazed pottery/ceramic.
Bowls are 5.8cm tall x 12cm wide at the rim.

Simple cylinder shapes with two little handles.
They are all excellent condition with no cutlery marks, unused.
No chips, cracks etc, and they are in very clean collectable condition.
They hold about 400ml or 2/3 pint to the rim.
Base stamps are hard to read and are two different ones.
Two of the bowls look a very very slightly a different tone – they’re from different batches.
One bowl has a slightly rougher baseline underneath.
Saucers are 17.5cm wide.
Saucers are 17.5cm wide.
Again, they are excellent with hardly any signs of age/use.
They have different base stamps.
Due to the nature of the glaze each piece is different and unique; they may have manufacturing/glazing quirks like ripples or pits.
