A lovely 1960s/1970s Caithness Stroma bud vase #4022.
It’s in the light purple alexandrite neodymium colour – it changes to a blue tone under a flourescent light apparently.
Made in Scotland.
Designed by Domhnall OBroin in 1961 – he was strongly influenced by the clean simple lines of Scandinavian design.
Nice simple Modernist mid century design.
Very good condition.
Flat polished rim and base are very good, all good for display and for a collection.
These vases are tall and slim and would only suit a single tall stem… 19.5cm tall.
