A pair of striking Cristillium (aluminium based) candle holders by Conrah Metal Products, Wales.
Circa 1967 vintage.
They’re black coated which has been machine cut through in a vertical diamond pattern to reveal the shiny silver coloured metal below.
They double up as bud vases too.
Being aluminium/cristillium they are a lightweight and soft metal.
Cylinder shaped with a foot.
16cm tall each.
Internally 2.1cm wide so wide enough for a standard tapered dinner candle, the foot is 4.8cm wide.
Both maintain the original felt bases.
The stamp reads: “A Conrah Product. Prov Pat. 8655/67. Made in Wales.”.
(I would take this to mean 1967 design).
Both good used condition with some tiny signs of age. Some dirt inside.
