Description
A Dansk candelabra centrepiece…
The design for Dansk was by Swede Bertil Vallien in the mid 1960s.
It is a simple Modernist spiral form, heavy solid metal that’s silver plated.
Twelve small holes for tall thin candles – thought to be for the 12 Days of Christmas.
Stamped on the base – unusually – with ‘Dansk designs China BV’ and ‘EPZ’.
These were more commonly made in Japan and France, so the China ones must have been from a particular period.
Circa 1970s vintage, but could be newer.

Used condition – it has pitting all over the horizontal spiral around the holes, mostly around the lower half.
Sides are shiny and polished.
13cm tall x 13cm wide max.

Please note it takes very thin Scandi style candles – each hole is just 7.5mm wide.
