Description
A vintage classic ‘gluggle’ fish jug by Dartmouth Pottery, England.
Circa 1950s to 1960s mid century era…
The kitsch ceramic fishy is in a metallic black lustre/graphite glaze – typical of models from the 1950s-1960s era.

The jug supposedly makes a ‘glug-glug’ noise when pouring, giving it its gurgle/glug/gluggle names.
It’s a 7″ version of the famous design.
18cm x 11.5cm x 7cm, a medium sized version.

It’s good for display and for a collection but has a chip to the front foot and a vintage baseline chip (not visible).
No chips to the mouth.
A little patch of crazing and some signs of its age underneath.
It looks good; more decorative and ornamental than useable (not properly watertight due to baseline crazing).
It has glue and a mark from its sticker to his front and is stamped to the base.
Good for a collector!
