A lovely Studio art pottery plant pot holder by David T Sharp from Rye, Sussex.

Handmade, thrown on a wheel, and hand decorated and signed. 
Simple round shape, white clay base.

Typical of David’s palette – muted browns and beiges and white.
Hand painted brown stripes/checks – probably drawn with wax resist method.
Circa 1970s vintage.
Hand signed to the base.

Used vintage condition.
As found – crazing and a fine hairline crack. 
Displays well but only suited to fake plants, not waterproof.

12.5cm tall x 13.5cm rim and 11cm width at base.
