Description
A hard to find vintage and collectable Figgjo Flint (Norway) ornamental side plate.
It’s a rounded-off square shape ceramic plate, with a stylised Scandinavian autumnal design featuring Sicilian fruits/vegetables.
This ‘Sicilia’ collection was designed by Turi Gramstad Oliver.
Off-white background glaze, with mossy green rim and deep green print.
The apples, flowers, pumpkins, basket and his outfit has been hand painted in orange over the screen print.
Stamped to the reverse with the FF logo. Circa 1960s mid century Norwegian.
The flat plate has curved mossy green sides – perfectly useable as a small plate, but better as a collectable ornamental plate.
19.5cm widest at the widest point x 2cm deep.
Very good condition with no chips or cracks or crazing.
A few small marks.
