Description
An original vintage Guzzini design classic from the 1970s/1980s.
The set was designed by Carlo Viglino in 1977 for Guzzini.
A 6-person space-age and pure retro picnic set, all contained within an orb.
Not sure when this version dates from, circa 1980s, made in Italy.
This set is in a white colour and is as follows:
6 shallow bowls (17cm wide), 6 side plates (21.5cm wide), 6 large plates (24cm), 4 clear beakers/cups (missing two, 7.5cm tall), a salt/pepper shaker (7cm, twist to dispense), a dressing dispenser (10.3cm tall, not sure how it works), a central tray (24.5cm wide) and the two large outer shells (which double up as salad bowls), with removable carry handle.
Orb is apx 27cm wide x 23cm high.
Good used condition with some signs of use.
No noticeable chips or cracks on the inner plastic/melamine.
Small marks to the plastic plates/dishes from use.
The two outer shells are branded with ‘Guzzini, per alimeni, made in Italy’.
Outer surfaces are good apart from one shell has a glued repaired vintage long crack, see pics.
The two outer tabs on the handle tuck outwards to form a ‘lock’, but it is best to hold the set from underneath.
The handle is branded ‘Airbal’.
