Description
A pair of stunning tableware pieces from Tapio Wirkkala’s iconic ‘Ultima Thule’ range – influenced by melting ice and designed for Finnair. Designed in 1968 and produced by Iittala glassworks in Finland. These are probably 1970s vintage – with original triangular stickers.
A milk jug and a sugar bowl. Staggered patterned textured sides, with random bobble bottom and three feet. Fab design, a Modernist iconic design statement. High quality crystal-content glass, bright and clear and sparkly in the sun.
Really good condition for age and era.
Jug is 8cm tall x 5.5cm widest.
Sugar bowl 8.5cm widest x 5cm tall.
Partial stickers.
No chips or nibbles or sharp bits.
