Description
A super and hard to find vintage ‘jelling stone’ pewter pendant on a steel chain.
It’s Danish and signed Jorgen Jensen, Denmark, 419.
It shows one of the famous ‘Jelling Stones’ erected by Harald Bluetooth outside Jelling Church, in 965 AD.
The image is embellished with runic script and Celtic knots and motifs.
It’s model number 419, a flat freeform moulded shape made of solid cast pewter.
Mounted on its chunky original steel chain, 22 inches long, with spring ring closure.
Circa 1960s vintage – all typical of the era and with a Scandi, Nordic, Celtic design.
Pendant is 45 x 25mm.
Very good wearable condition – ideal retro gift for a loved one.
Weighs 32 grams.
