Description
A lovely little pin dish by Jula…
Jula (Angela Govier) created these artworks in the late 1950s from above her family’s Govier shop in Sidmouth, Devon. She bought blanks from places like Poole Pottery and hand decorated them. They were fired on the premises and sold in the shop.
The dish is a shallow rectangular shape, white glaazed base with a stylised art picture of a smoker on a stool.
Matt black with white incised picture.
Multi-use – these could be used for keys, coins, jewellery, pins, buttons, paperclips, etc – or perfect just for show.
The dish is 9 x 6.5 x 1.5cm – small.
Good vintage condition, no chips but some fine crazing if you look very hard.
