Description

A striking Knobbly vase by Liskeard Glass, Cornwall, England.
Designed in the 1970s by Jim Dyer, brother of Harry Dyer who was designing the more famous Knobbly vases at Whitefriars Glass.
The vase bears the distinctive LG stamp on the base.

The inner is a vivid teal blue/green (peacock), and it is unusually cased in a pale aqua clear glass.
There are three rows of knobbles and dimples/swirls on the outer surface.
The vase tapers in towards the rim.
It’s very thick solid glass with a thick flat rim.
The aqua casing was probably a pleasant mistake as it’s normally clear.

Handmade/mouth blown in the 1970s.

Good condition for age and era.
There’s an impact mark on a lower area near the baseline (see last 2 photos).
Base has come wear. Uppers very good.

13.5cm tall x 10cm wide at widest point.
Weighs a thick and hefty 1.3kg.
