Description
A beautiful Mdina art glass round art glass vase.
The technique/design was down to Michael Harris in Malta from 1968 to 1972.
This is using his colours and techniques and is circa mid 1970s vintage.
Mediterranean sea-like – known as ‘Sea and Sand’.
The colouring is a vivid teal/turquoise blue with internal streaks and spots of gold and bubbles/swirls.
Mouth blown/hand made and unique.
Flat polished base, narrower neck and flared rim.
Unsigned – I was lead to believe that unsigned could signal an earlier version.
9cm wide x 11cm tall.
Excellent displayable condition.
Any undulations, swirls, bubbles, spots and inclusions are part of the handmade nature and are deliberate and by the artist.
There is a large single bubble enclosed in it, shown in a few photos.
