Description
Midwinter Pottery salt and pepper shakers, circa 1970s to early 1980s vintage.
They are the Midwinter Stonehenge shape (base of cream with random iron oxide brown speckles/trim which is ‘Creation’) with the glossy Moon design – deep blue and lighter blue stripes. The design was by Eve Midwinter and it was launched in 1973 and produced until the mid 1980s. Very retro and a design classic in one of the harder to find colour-ways.
10.5cm tall x 5.5cm diameter. Simple cylinder shapes.
Both good used with some small signs of use.
The pepper has a fleabite to one of the upper holes.
The base of the salt has historic imperfections/old nibbles.
Only one original stopper which I wouldn’t trust – the other deteriorated and fell apart.
So currently only suited to display.
Due to the nature of the random glazes these are all slightly different and unique with different speckles and stripes.
