This sleeping kitten was produced from a model adapted by Alan White and was hand painted by Paula Morton around 1996. Alan introduced the concept of adding acrylic colour to stoneware in the 1980s. Because of the hand painting costs they were only sold from the Poole Pottery shop in Poole, so are hard to find today, apparently.

The cat measures 16cm long x 11cm x 6.5cm. It’s been hand painted a matt grey/graphite colour with a black nose.

The moulded clay/pottery figure is in very good condition on display. On very close inspection there are a few small dots of paint missing, mostly to the edges, please see all the pictures.
