A fab trinket box/container or jewellery box by Poole Pottery.
Poole Pottery introduced a transfer printed Beardsley collection in 1979, developed by Ros Somerfelt.
This was a black and white range based on the works of artist Aubrey Beardsley (1872 – 1898).
The illustrations are art nouveau, risqué, and stylised.
So 1980s vintage – in both a 1980s pop and 1880s antique style.
Black on white ceramic heart box.
10.5 x 9.5 x 3cm.
It is stamped to the back with the maker.
Very good condition.
