Description

A lovely mid century art glass vase, by Aimo Okklin for Riihimäen Lasi Oy / Riihimaki, Finland.

Designed in 1963 and produced until 1968, this is a mid-1960s vintage vase.

Mouth blown in to a mould, it is probably design no 1436 from the Stromboli range.

It is a mid to Royal blue colour and is cased in clear glass at the base.

It has a lightly flaring out lower half, a bulging centre, with a gently tapering in upper.

Flat smooth rim.

7″ or 18cm x 10cm wide max at flared middle, 7.5cm wide rim.

Cylinder base is 5.7cm wide.

Good condition for age/era with no chips.

It has a couple of stretched bubbles within.

A few fine small marks from age.

Base shows correct signs of age.
