Description
A set of six vintage Russian (USSR) lacquer ware items – 6 bowls and a spoon.
Made from a lightweight wood (I think) these have been decorated with different soft fruits and berries.
They’re from two different trips to USSR, in 1975 and 1984 I think.
Three maintain their original base labels/receipts/stamps.
Large bowl has strawberries and black base. 16x7cm
Medium bowl has raspberries and black base. 10.5×5.5cm
Small shallow bowl, redcurrants and black base, 7.5 x 4cm.
Long spoon, 35cm, has rasberries on.
I think these are all 1975.
Small but taller bowls with red bases with strawberries and raspberries from 1984. 7 x 5cm.
All Khokhloma folk art styles, all hand painted in traditional colours with black bases.
All have metallic gold inners.
The older pieces have sone small signs of age, the colours are a bit duller, 50 years old apx
The two newer small bowls are very good and vibrant, 40 years old apx.
Please see all pictures.
A nice little vintage USSR lacquerware collection.
