Description
A curious heavy shallow bowl by Silit, West Germany, circa 1970s vintage.
Presumably it’s designed as a plant pot saucer, but it’s also great as a generic multi-purpose bowl – for use or decorative.
It comes from a range of steel and enamelled pans by Silit.
Heavy gauge silvery steel or thick aluminium, coated in a dark blue enamel coating.
Lighter blue square and circle geometric retro design.
Feature silver metal rim.
Sticker to base.
14 x 5.5cm.
Very good with no loss of colour – nice and vivid print and typical of its retro/modernist era.
No marks to the coating. No signs of use.
Some internal swirly marks, like a film of petrol.
