A striking contemporary art print by Stan Rosenthal.
He was known more for his more traditional Welsh landscapes, but he seemed to get more abstract with time.
Much later in life he moved to East Sussex, where I remember his gallery in Old Town Hastings (circa mid 2000s), and probably then in Battle.
He produced a series of stylised Old Hastings prints like this before his death in Sussex in 2012.
This print shows the Old Town Hastings fishing boats and nets and huts in front of the East Hill.
It’s brightly coloured and simplified.
Looking very close up it hasn’t got a visible dot print, so it’s possibly a giclee, screenprint or lithograph print (I’m no expect).
Either way, it’s professionally printed on good paper.
Mounted with white card, though the mount has some folds to the corners.
It likely came from Stan’s gallery, from storage or clearance, as I bought it in the area.
Print 15 x10cm, postcard size.
With mount 25 x 20cm.
Good and bright ready to be framed.
