A lovely vintage – or even antique – brooch.
925 grade sterling silver with what looks to be an oval onyx stone to the centre.
Centre stone is flat and polished/shiny.
The silver surround is an ‘illusion’ design, designed to look like small diamonds and intricate metal work.
Probably mid century, 1940s-1960s
It’s classy and smart.
It may have been a mourning brooch back in the day.
Oblong brooch is 40cm wide, oval black stone is 17mm long.
Very nice.
Just stamped with 925.
Roll over pin works well.
