An original vintage pair of 1970s-1980s iittala shot glasses…
Designed by Tapio Wirkkala for Iittala, Finland, these small shot glasses are from the Gaissa range of glass tableware.
They’re the 4cl glasses, designed in the early 1970s.
The crystal content 5cm tall glasses have a three-dimple icy undulating base, see photos, very Scandinavian!
They’re roughly 40ml or 1.5oz, so the size of a single shot.
They’re 5cm tall x 4cm wide.
They maintain their original oblong stickers, suggesting they’ve not been used and suggesting production in the 1980s.
Excellent with no chips or nibbles.
Being handmade they may have ripples in the glass.
