A lovely taller vintage Caithness Stroma bud vase #4022.
It’s in Twilight Blue colour.
Circa late 1960s to 1980s.
This Twilight is a dark midnight or smoky navy blue, and is cased in clear glass.
Made in Scotland.
Designed by Domhnall OBroin in 1961 – he was strongly influenced by the clean simple lines of Scandinavian design and he used a sommerso technique for this design, as per Murano, Italy.
Nice simple Modernist mid century design.
Very good vintage condition.
A couple of insignificant small fine surface marks, and a bubble.
Flat polished rim and base are good.
These vases are tall and slim and would only suit a single tall stem…
This example is 24.5cm tall.
