Description
A West German 1960s to 1970s vacuum flask.
Made by BMF design, West Germany.
Similar to Emsa’s Rio, but earlier.
The hard plastic/melamine hot water/tea/coffee storing and serving jug is lined with glass, just like an insulated Thermos flask, and will keep your drink hot.
The conical screw top lid forms a seal, and just needs loosening or removing to pour.
Black and ivory (off-white) colours.
A cone shape, 26cm high x 17cm widest.
Stamped to base with “BMF N. Made in W. Germany”
Very much used condition.
The cream colour plastic looks softer so has badly worn and has marks and scrapes all over.
The cream base has come away slightly from the black above.
Inner glass ok, functional – it works. Screw top good.
Ok if it’s for a shelf as a vintage designer item, but priced accordingly as it’s tatty close up.
