Description
A classic Whitefriars Glass ‘hambone’ art glass vase, #9656.
This design in this colour dates from roughly 1969-1972.
It has distinctive wide solid bottom, thick oval rim and flatter sides (wider and heavier than 9572 and 9657).
Pewter – deep smokey grey – cased in clear.
The vase is cased in clear and is heavy for the size (weighs 862g).
Flat polished rim and base, with distinctive fat flared wide bottom, narrower sideways on.
14.3 x 11 x 5cm.
Good condition.
Please check photos – it’s very displayable with a very good rim with no chips or nibbles.
Some small surface marks, shown, and a tiny white spot to the edge of the base.
Nicely made with some natural ripples as you’d expect for handmade glass.
