Description
A vintage 1998 Mdina (Malta) art glass square bowl or vase.
It’s signed with ’98’ so from 1998.
The pattern is Crystal Blue Stripe, like Ming, with a ‘crizzle’ web of gold/sand colour, mostly between the stripes.
The wide blue stripes are turquoise/teal blue and flare out from the middle.
Sea and Sand colours, as introduced by Michael Harris back in the late 1960s.
It’s a rounded square flared shape, and is frosted all over.
It has an original sticker inside.
Soft, tactile bowl with rounded undulating rim.
Mouth blown and handmade.
Very good with no chips.
Being frosted the surface is matt and susceptible to marks. It has a few small marks outside.
A good sized 6″ wide x 6″ x 11.5cm tallest.
