A lovely and stylish art glass bowl/ashtray from the 1960s by František Zemek for Rudolfova Hut Glassworks, Sklo Union.
Czech/Bohemian and dating from around 1969.
A curving oval shape, with cigar indent ends, made from smooth pressed glass.
Mid-century modernist and retro in style.
It’s an amethyst tone of pale purple/lilac.
Mouth blown into a mould.
Very good condition. Minimal signs of age – I’d give it 8.5/10.
Some tiny bubbles from manufacture.
A couple of baseline imperfections.
