A stunning art glass dolphin jumping over a ball paperweight.
All mouth blown and skilfully hand made.
The royal blue dolphin features sfumato patterns internally, like scales. Each scale is beautifully and accurately done, all in line and in proportion, with a tiny dot of bubble above it. So much work and skill!
The blue dolphin is cased in clear and sits mounted above a controlled bubble ball.
The clear controlled bubble paperweight is also beautifully made with very carefully done graduating bubbles.
Flat polished base. Unsigned. Circa 1980s-1990s – a little bit of base wear.
The more you look at the piece the more skill you see! It’s better than the pieces done at FM Ronneby, Sweden. I’m guessing it is a combination of artists pieces and possibly from Murano, Italy. It’s probably a one-off.
12.5cm tall x 11.5cm x 12cm deep.
Very good condition with no chips.
