Description
A vintage Midwinter Pottery curiosity, circa 1970s or early 1980s.
Presumably it’s a utensils pot or vase. Or a tall slim storage pot.
Please let me know if you know anything more.
It’s Midwinter Stonehenge shape in the plain decor, ‘Creation’.
Off-white with brown/black speckles – the random speckles are iron oxide and is darker around the rim.
Very retro colouring and a design classic, I believe the design is by Eve Midwinter from the early 1970s.
Earthenware type glazed pottery/ceramic.
Simple cylinder shape.
15cm or 6″ tall cylinder, 8cm wide.
Very good condition.
Base stamp (England, Midwinter) is imprinted and very hard to read.
Slightly rough baseline underneath.
Due to the nature of the glaze each Creation piece is different and unique; they may have manufacturing/glazing quirks like ripples or pits.
