A super example of a Caithness Stroma bud vase #4033.
It’s in the Heather (plum purple), and is cased in clear glass.
Circa 1970s-1980s.
Made in Scotland. Bulbous shape.
Designed by Charles Orr in the 1960s – strongly influenced by the clean simple lines of Scandinavian design using a sommerso technique for this design, as per Murano, Italy.
Nice simple Modernist mid century design.
Excellent condition.
Flat polished rim and rippled base are great, great for display and for a collection.
It has its original sticker, is clean with no marks, and is etch signed to the base.
19.5cm tall x 7cm widest x 3.3cm outer rim.
