A fun little mid century 1950s black and yellow dish.
The African inspired piece features an African seated lady on a boat/canoe.
Matt black glaze with glossy yellow boat inner.
Moulded and glazed ceramic, hand painted.
Unknown maker, but it’s not African origin, more likely European 1950s.
20cm x 6cm wide x 9.5cm tall.
Very good vintage condition with no chips or crazing.
Some discontinuities with the black matt paint, where different blacks overlap.
